What can medical tattooing help with?

Thanks to advances in techniques, there is a huge range of things that medical tattooing can help with, from surgical scars to nipple reconstruction, improving the look of hair loss to camouflaging burns. Reach out to us if you want to discuss further and we’d be thrilled to see how we can help.

Does it hurt?

There is no way around it, yes! There will be some pain and discomfort. How much depends on where and what is being worked on, but we will do all we can to keep you comfortable, and if appropriate numbing cream can be applied to the area to minimize discomfort. We also work with you to take breaks and your tattoo may be conducted over several sessions too.

Is it safe?

As with any invasive procedure there are risks, such as allergic reactions and infections. That’s why it’s important you do your research and pick a reputable clinic and practitioner. All of our Inkologists are experts in their field, and undergo additional training on make sure they are equipped to deal with emergencies that may arise. In addition to this, all our clinics are sanitized to the same protocols you’d expect from your doctor’s office or hospital, for your benefit and protection.

How much does it cost?

It’s difficult to have a set price list because everyone is different, and the amount of time/number of sessions you will need depends on many factors, including the location and size of the tattoo, and the condition of your skin. During your free consultation you will be provided with a breakdown of the costs upfront, before any treatment begins. We also work with several credit providers to help you spread the costs if you’d like.

Do you take insurance?

We work with a medical billing company, as an “out -of-network” provider for several major insurance companies. However medical tattooing is not a standard procedure that is covered by most policies, so the cost and amount covered by your insurance can vary. We can work with you to determined if this is an option for you.
